Missing Peach-faced lovebird

Pamela Pung, Popcorn's owner, has taken to Facebook to desperately appeal for any information on her pet bird.

Popcorn is a Yellow Lutino Peach-faced lovebird, and apparently got lost around 8am.

Its last-known location was at Gardenvista Condominium at Dunearn Rd, opposite Bukit Timah Plaza.

Pung is offering a S$500 reward if Popcorn is found.

In several Facebook posts, Pung revealed how dear Popcorn is to her.

She had taken care of Popcorn for two years, and even hand-raised it from when it was a baby.

Pung shared that she has been "heartbroken" and "devastated" since Popcorn went missing.

Can be attracted with food and water

Pung saw a glimmer of hope nine days after Popcorn went missing, when a similar lovebird turned up at the window of a resident in Jurong.

The bird was filmed chirping at the resident's window, at Block 403 Jurong West Street 42.

The resident apparently took the bird in and fed it some bread.

However, the bird nipped her fingers, and the resident likely assumed it was wild, and released it back outside.

Pung initially believed that the bird sighted was Popcorn, but after some scrutiny, expressed her uncertainty and stated that it might be another bird.

Since then, Pung is still searching for Popcorn, and is desperately worried about its well-being.

According to Pung, Popcorn can be lured with water, bread, fruit and vegetables.

She urged social media users to share her post, and prayed that Popcorn "will meet a kind soul who will bring her back to us".

Anyone who has any information on Popcorn can contact Pung via her Facebook here.
