Covid-19 has spread to every inhabited continent in the world.

South Korea recently overtook China as the country with the highest daily reported cases in the world.

Italy is also dealing with a surge in cases and the search for patient zero.

Iran has denied reports that there have been 50 deaths, but still have by far the highest death rate percentage.

They have reported 26 deaths and over 240 cases.

Government officials have been affected by the virus as well.

Amidst all these developments, Chinese state media reported that overseas Chinese are looking to go back to China -- because it is now apparently safer in China than anywhere else.

According to Global Times, many are concerned that some countries are not paying sufficient attention to the outbreak.

They are also reportedly "impressed by the speed and effectiveness of China to pool resources to cure patients and the ability to reduce mobility of the entire society to contain cross-infection".

The article also cited three Chinese individuals from Japan, Korea, and Italy saying why they would feel safer in China.

They also praised the Chinese system as being ideal for fighting the virus.

"China's system has the advantage of mobilizing the nation to fight the epidemic together, something most countries cannot achieve, said Li Haidong, a professor at the China Foreign Affairs University."

This follows a soundbite from a World Health Organisation expert who claimed he would want to be treated in China if he did have Covid-19.
