Steve Irwin would have turned 58 on Feb. 22.

Well-known for the television show, "The Crocodile Hunter", the conservationist passed away at the age of 44, after an accident with a stingray in 2006.

He leaves behind his wife, daughter and son, who continued his conservation work in Australia.

Heartwarming tribute with a note highlighting the things that he loved

His daughter, Bindi Irwin wrote a moving tribute to honour her late father last Saturday.

The younger Irwin shared on her social media pages, saying that she celebrated her late father's birthday by doing some of the things he loved.

That included having an extra strong cup of tea in the way her father liked and hugging her mother on behalf of him.

The younger Irwin also went on a hike through the mountains her father loved with her brother, Robert Irwin, watched her father's documentaries and visited his office at Australia Zoo on his birthday.

She ended the heartwarming note by expressing how much she misses her father and loves him.

Here's her full post on Twitter:

"Dad, today is your birthday. I had an extra strong cup of tea just how you liked it. I hugged Mum for you and told her how much we love her. Robert and I went on a hike through the mountains you cherished. I watched one of your documentaries with Chandler and shared stories about you. I walked through your office in the zoo and smiled at our old family photographs. Today and every day I miss you and love you beyond description. You're always with me."
