11 taken to hospital after chain collision involving 3 buses along Tampines Avenue 7

Police investigations are ongoing.

Three buses were involved in a chain collision along Tampines Avenue 7 towards Tampines Avenue 9 on Wednesday (Feb. 12) morning.

In one photo, the windscreen of one of the buses appears to be smashed.

The other photo shows the three buses standing stationary along the street.

According to the caption of the post, the accident involved two SBS Transit buses, services 19 and 27, as well as Go-Ahead Singapore bus number 34.

The Straits Times reported that the two SBS Transit buses, one behind the other, had stopped during a red light.

But soon after, the Go-Ahead Singapore bus knocked into one of them, eventually causing the chain collision.

11 people sent to hospital

Responding to queries from Mothership, police said that they were alerted to the accident at 6:43am on Feb. 12.

Police added that one of the bus drivers and ten passengers, aged between 21 and 65, were conscious when conveyed to Changi General Hospital.

According to CNA, all of the injured victims were in the Go-Ahead Singapore bus.

Police investigations are ongoing.
