One U.S. TikToker, Gavin Smith, has done a few videos trying out fruits that might be considered somewhat rare to an average American.

Here he is, trying out dragonfruit.

And some longans.

All rather mild videos, though they had more than a million likes between them.

The problem is with this new, exotic fruit though.

And how to get to that sweet, sweet, flesh?

But you know what?

Smith didn’t give up, perhaps at the behest of a thousand pained Asian voices, he took up the rambutan again, and figured it out.

Pronunciation aside, all seems well.

Not bad.
