Giving someone a high five is typically a way to express respect and admiration.
An athlete from The Philippines, however, managed to make the gesture appear rude.
Aggressively high fiving Malaysian players
On Nov. 29, the Philippines' football team defeated their Malaysian counterparts with a 1-0 score at the 2019 Southeast Asian Games.
After the match centre back Justin Baas, who plays for Dutch football club Jong AZ, caught the attention of Malaysian fans.
As a form of formality, footballers often stand in a line and shake hands or exchange high five one another at the end of the game.
But some felt Baas was being unnecessarily aggressive while high fiving the Malaysian players.
He also hit some of them on their shoulders.
The Malaysian footballers appear shocked by his behaviour.
Some of them even complain to his teammates about the incident.
A video of the incident went viral online after the official fan club for Malaysia's national football team posted it on their Twitter page.
