PMD user rides on top of shelter as another loophole discovered

Dangerous.

The ban of e-scooters on footpaths has taken its toll on the personal mobility device-riding population.

Especially food delivery personnel who use the device to make a living.

However, users have found ways to circumvent the ban, such as riding on grass and drains.

Until those methods became explicitly prohibited.

And the latest loophole to be exploited, it appears, is riding on top of shelters.

An episode of blatant rule-flouting was filmed and later submitted to Singapore-based meme account @fixiesgememes on Instagram, which was posted on Nov. 18.

It was first uploaded as a photo, before the video was also shared.

In case you can't see:

The caption in the video reads with a certain defiance:

"No riding on pavement

No riding on grass

Ride on shelter"

The half-a-minute scene, which took place at night, shows a relatively young rider making one round on the shelter.

At mid-point, where the shelter curves, the rider appears to dismount and push the device along for a short while before resuming the ride.

Although the shelter was right by the road, there was hardly any traffic.

No other pedestrians were in sight as well.

Reactions

Most of the comments appear to encourage the PMD rider.

Although at least one user expressed a dissenting view.
