Children can take things quite literally.

On Oct. 9, a Facebook post was put up by user Chanawin Sonrayothin showing several photos of Thai children removing their shoes before entering a 7-11 store.

According to Chanawin's post, the children's actions had supposedly been the result of being taught by their teacher to respect locations that they visit, and to remove their shoes before entering.

The Smart Local reported that the city in question was Chiang Rai, in Northern Thailand.

Brought to the city for an educational field trip

Chanawin further stated that the children had purportedly been brought into the city for an educational field trip.

As such, the 7-11 was the first time that the children had supposedly visited a store that was open for 24 hours, given that those in the mountain closed in the evening.

Chanawin added that the children had been allegedly brought there by their teacher so that they could buy snacks.

Took off their shoes, placed them on store's welcome mat

Subsequently, when the teacher supposedly headed to the toilet, he returned to find that the students had removed their shoes before entering the store and placed them on the store's welcome mat.

Additionally, when he allegedly asked them why they had done so, the children replied that it was due to his teaching -- to take off their shoes before entering a building that was clean.

Translation: "Yes, this is a discipline. Children will remember the words that adults teach and put them in an orderly manner. I would like to praise the teachers for blowing the children very well".
