According to Baey's post, Rahim wakes up before dawn each day.
This is so that the elderly man can finish cleaning the blocks under his care before the residents step out of their houses in the morning.
Dedicated cleaner in Tampines
Rahim's son, who goes by the handle of Luqman, tweeted about the Instagram post on Oct. 9, adding that his father wakes up at 3am every day to go to work.

Rahim endearingly calls the residents living in the blocks under his care as "my residents".
Baey met Rahim when the latter was having his breakfast, and Rahim shared passionately that he would ensure the blocks are clean even before the residents step out for work.
Rahim added that he is appreciative of residents who help to keep the blocks clean.
Some residents who encountered the post also shared their appreciation for Rahim's hard work, while others mentioned that Rahim is also an active volunteer in Tampines.
Loving husband and father
Rahim's son was immensely proud of his father, not just for his dedication to work but also to their family.
In one of his older tweets, Luqman revealed how Rahim stayed by his mother's side while she battled with cancer.
Rahim tirelessly took care of his wife, helping to change her diapers and clothes multiple times a day.
When his wife felt bad and apologised to him for being a burden, Rahim replied,
"There's no such thing as you burdening me. You are my responsibility. I have to take care of you no matter what."
As his wife's condition worsened, Rahim would still share his day at work with her, even when she couldn't respond like she used to.
Luqman's mother passed away in late 2014, but the family knows that Rahim still misses her dearly.
