Police looking for man who allegedly slashed face of moneylending clerk in Tanjong Pagar

A blood trail was reportedly spotted at the scene.

An unidentified man reportedly attacked a store clerk working for a moneylending firm and then fled the scene.

It is suspected that the man was rejected for a loan by the victim, according to Zaobao.

The incident took place on Wednesday, Oct. 2 at 1 Tras Link, Tanjong Pagar, around 4:15 pm.

According to a police news release, a 31-year-old man was sent to the Singapore General Hospital while conscious.

20m blood trail seen in area

According to Zaobao, a blood trail of approximately 20m was seen in the area where the incident took place.

A witness said that the trail was found along the corridor to a public toilet in the vicinity, and that it looked rather serious.

Another witness, a 52-year-old woman, also mentioned that she saw a man and woman helping the victim out of the public toilet.

The victim was seen covering his injured face, which was bleeding profusely.

Police appealing for information

The police are looking for a man to assist with investigations regarding this case.
