If you're particularly squeamish about bugs, these bags are probably not for you.

Saitama-based Japanese artist, Amanojaku to Hesomagari, creates a wide range of hyperrealistic bags and items that are inspired by living creatures such as insects, aquatic animals, and birds.

Only create creatures they love

Based on an interview with youpouch, Amanojaku said that the world does not belong to humans.

Moreover, humans tend to judge and categorise things as "cute" or "disgusting" based on their own personal preferences — which made the designer wonder when humans started seeing bugs as "disgusting" creatures.

Amanojaku started their own line after they realised that no hyper-realistic items of creepy-crawlies were available on the market.

There are no hard and fast rules for the creator, except to only make the creatures they like.

It is also important to pay careful attention to the intricacies of the creatures, such as their legs and feelers, to ensure that it remains realistic, as reported by livedoor news.

Here are some of Amanojaku's creations.

Where to buy the items?

According to livedoor news, customers can buy the small items at various exhibitions in Japan, while advance orders have to be made for big items.

Prices range from 3,000 yen (around S$38) to 50,000 yen (around S$644).

Although it is not clear how one can place their orders for the items online, it might still be possible to order a photo book collection of their work in Kinokuniya Singapore and Amazon Japan.
