Bubble tea has officially been classed up, because even Godiva Japan is selling it.

The drink, which literally translates to "White Chocolate Tapioca Darjeeling" costs 670 yen, which is about S$8.50.

It is topped with whipped cream and a sprinkle of darjeeling powder.

Part of the Magic Tea Series, the drink was launched on August 23 and will be available till December 31, 2019.

Reactions

The Japanese seem to be liking it.

One said it was "delicious enough to ruin humanity":

Another said that the chocolate and darjeeling flavours were balanced, and it wasn't too sweet.

A third said it was delicious, although slightly difficult to drink.

We imagine it might be due to the pearls, which look larger than usual.

Note that only certain stores carry it, and that each store has a limited quantity.

A strawberry and white chocolate version of the drink, also priced at S$8.50, is available till November 30.
