Yes, he is a cat.

And he is also an employee at a law firm in Brazil.

Cat was hanging out at reception area

Bored Panda reported that the Leon first arrived at the building in February earlier this year. There apparently had been a lot of rain during that period and he was seeking shelter.

The staff fed him and kept him in a box for about a week.

Unfortunately, the law firm supposedly received complaints from people. Some also reportedly said that "there was no space for him because it is a serious institution".

And so, according to a Facebook post by one Jeanette Laredo, they apparently decided to hire the cat as an employee where his official duties were to welcome the people into the building.
