Foreigners in Hong Kong are not spared from the chaos of the Hong Kong protests.

And some pretty iconic photos have surfaced amidst the hullabaloo.

Take for instance this Singaporean lady who braved the crowd of protesters in a bid to get home:

On Aug. 22, yet another photo has surfaced.

Here it is:

Police were chasing protestors away

Uploaded by one Twitter account antiELAB, which provides live updates on the protests, the photo depicted the Hong Kong police climbing up a flight of stairs.

According to the tweet, the policemen are members of a special counter-terrorism division, known as "the raptors".

A policeman can also be seen pointing his baton at a reporter, who has her arms raised up.

The incident apparently took place at Yuen Loong on Aug. 22.

Working for CNA

In response to the tweet, CNA journalist Wei Du came forward to identify herself as the woman in the photo.

According to her, the policemen were "chasing protestors" and "asking (her) to leave".

She explained to the policeman that she was a reporter who got separated from her crew, and the police left her alone.

This is her tweet:

She also added that she wished that the photo could have been "more flattering":
