Suspicious.

An alleged pickpocket was caught behaving suspiciously at Block 453, Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10.

The incident was uploaded to Facebook on August 11 by one Zhou Guo Chong, whose post has garnered more than 4,700 shares.

Here's the caption, translated from Chinese:

"This lady is a pickpocket at Ang Mo Kio Ave 10, be careful, she's a pickpocket, must be careful.

She was caught at 409, but got released twice."

It is not clear how Zhou attained the information.

However, a reader has added that the alleged pickpocket was released by stall owners, and not the police.

Here's the video he uploaded (the identity of the alleged pickpocket has been censored by us):

In case you didn't watch it, here are some key moments.

Keep your eyes on the woman in blue and white stripes, standing uncomfortably close to another shopper in a white top and purple pants.

When the shopper turns to look at her, she appears interested in the towels for sale.

When her target leaves, the alleged pickpocket drops whatever she is holding and follows.

And ends up standing uncomfortably close to the same shopper, again.

The shopper leaves almost immediately, while the alleged pickpocket cranes her neck, presumably to keep track of her target.

She then follows her target a second time. And even a third.

It is not clear if she managed to steal anything from the shopper, or what the relation of the video-taker is to the alleged pickpocket.

Well-known in the area

Commenters highlighted the fact that the alleged perpetrator is a middle-aged woman.

"Doesn't matter how old she is, the police should catch her and make her apologise. I hate these kind of cheapskate people the most!"

"Bringing shame to the older folks. No morals. Bad people have thick skin."

"Being a pickpocket at this age, shame."

Another user who claims to be a stall owner at the market said this pickpocket's brazen behaviour is well-known in the area.

He also urged people in the area to be careful.
