Soldiers in Singapore are often spotted going above and beyond to help others.

Here are some past examples:

Adding on to this list is a soldier who helped a family  find their way to the N.E. show, which is like an NDP preview, on July 13, 2019.

Alighted at wrong MRT station

According to a Facebook post by Benita Lin, she explained that her family alighted at Esplanade MRT for the N.E. show.

She said that she was with her parents, sister-in-law's parent, uncle, and niece and nephew (aged four and two years old).

They were informed by a bunch of soldiers that the red sector, where they were supposed to be seated at, was in fact closer to City Hall MRT.

Soldier offered to walk them to correct entrance

Fearing that they would get lost, one of the soldiers then offered to walk them to the correct place, which Lin claimed was a "very long walk" from where they were.

In addition, the kind soldier also helped to carry her nephew, whom she said was "not exactly very light",  all the way to the correct entrance.

In the comments section, one Mary Ng also added that the soldier was sweating buckets by the time they had arrived:

The soldier is believed to be a Guardsman.
