Hammee's is a stall at Commonwealth Crescent Market and Food Centre that specialises in burgers.

Its owners originally opened a white bee hoon stall, but switched to selling burgers in 2018.

There are three burgers on their menu -- the Classic Beef Cheeseburger, the Premium Beef Cheeseburger and the Fried Chicken burger.

Apparently, Hammee's now sees queues of up to 30 minutes or more during peak hours.

Finally got to try the burgers at #Hammees 🍔 there were 3 types on the menu so we ordered one of each. Our favorite was undoubtedly the Classic Beef Cheeseburger (double) which simply oozed with juiciness in every bite. This was $8 with fries! Be prepared to wait at least 25-30min during lunch time though!⏰

Classic Beef Cheeseburger (S$6 for single patty)

The Classic Beef Cheeseburger consists of toasted burger buns, slow caramelised onions, American cheese, a handmade beef patty, chopped pickled jalapenos and homemade burger sauce.

It's available in a single patty for S$6 or double patty for S$8 and comes with the option of add-ons like lettuce and tomatoes (+S$0.50), smoked bacon (+S$2) or dill pickle (+S$0.50).

In a city awash with burger joints, of which Shake Shack at Jewel is the latest contender, this humble stall stands out not only because it is set in the modest confines of a hawker centre, a single-patty beef cheese burger here costs just S$6! . If low price gives one the misimpression of low quality, a bite of this ultra-juicy burger will prove otherwise . The beef patty, a house recipe, is mixed with different cuts of brisket and chuck. And sandwiching this patty are buns custom baked by a local bakery that are toasted on a griddle with beef tallow and assembled together with caramelised onions and American cheese. Premium Beef Cheeseburger (S$8)

Their Premium Beef Cheeseburger consists of toasted burger buns, fresh lettuce and tomato slice, crispy smoked bacon, slow caramelised onions, American cheese, 120g handmade beef patty, chopped pickled jalapenos and homemade burger sauce.

The normal version retails at S$8 whilst the smoked bacon version goes for S$10.

The Premium Beef Cheeseburger at @hammees_sg was legit good. 120g of juicy and tasty beef patty between the soft and lightly toasted burger buns. I liked that the fresh lettuce and tomatoes didn’t have the ‘just taken from the fridge’ cold taste. The caramelized onions and American cheese went perfectly well with the burger. Top it with smoked bacon, this burger was a quality gourmet burger at a fraction of a gourmet burger joint’s price. I liked how the burger was well presented and compact, such that it didn’t start to fall apart when I started eating it. Juicy and flavorful, a burger of such quality would easily cost $20 at a burger joint. But being at a hawker centre, this was only $10. Certainly a good quality burger that I’d return for. Fried Chicken Burger (S$5.50)

Their third burger, Hammee's Fried Chicken Burger, is made of toasted burger buns, homemade slaw, crispy fried chicken thigh and Hammee's burger sauce.

Both original and spicy versions go for S$5.50.
