Local Facebook community page, Complaint Singapore, is notorious for its "first world problem" entries.

Take this article, for example:

Sometimes, however, heartwarming stories do appear on the community page.

Construction worker prays on rooftop

On June 26, one Phoebe Olivia shared a humbling photo to Complaint Singapore.

The post features a Muslim construction worker performing his prayers on a rooftop he was probably working on:

Although his helmet and boots have been taken off, the worker still had what looked like safety gear on.

Uses plastic sheet as prayer mat

According to Olivia, she was just looking out the window and was "touched" when she noticed the man performing one of his five daily prayers.

"I find this very touching I saw this worker in a hot day like this he still make some time to pray."

Muslims pray five times a day, at the following times: Before dawn, in the afternoon, in the late afternoon, immediately after sunset and at night.

The construction worker was using what looks like a small blue plastic sheet as a prayer mat.

Humbled netizens

It wasn't just Olivia who was humbled by the man's act.

The post, which has gained more than 2,200 reactions and over 1,000 shares, has received praise from other Singaporeans as well.

However, some were also doubtful of the man's actions.

But at the end of the day, Olivia confirmed that the man was truly praying and apologised on behalf of all the insensitive comments that were left:

Kudos.
