Tin Pei Ling: Aloysius Pang "left a void that cannot be filled in the hearts of people who loved him"

As a mother of two boys, Tin said any parent would be able to feel the pain the family must be going through.

Actor Aloysius Pang’s wake in MacPherson will be opened to the public on Saturday (Jan. 26), and well-wishers can visit from 12pm onwards.

MacPherson MP Tin Pei Ling attended it this evening, and told Channel 8 News that Pang's death was "a very heartbreaking incident".

Tin said Pang's departure has "left a void that cannot be filled in the hearts of people who loved him and supported him".

Tin, a mother of two boys, was visibly moved and said "any parent would be able to feel the pain that the family must be going through".

"I think this is a very heartbreaking incident that has happened. I think his departure has left a void that cannot be filled in the hearts of people who loved him and supported him. I think any parent would be able to feel the pain that the family must be going through.

It really comes as a shock and I just sincerely wish the family that they will find the strength to overcome this very very difficult period."

Details of the wake

Members of the public who wish to bid farewell to Pang can visit the wake from noon on Jan. 26 to noon on Sunday, Jan. 27, at 82A MacPherson Lane, Singapore 360082

Military funeral

MINDEF also announced on Friday evening (Jan. 25) that Pang will be accorded a military funeral on Sunday.

The cremation will take place at Mandai Crematorium on Sunday.

MINDEF said it will continue to render assistance and support to the family of the late Pang.
