The Nas Daily jinx: Goes to S'pore? Power failure. M'sia? Syrian deported. Hong Kong? MTR died.

Maybe they are all just coincidences.

If you never believed in superstitions, well, it's probably time to start.

Nas Daily jinx

Because the modern day equivalent of breaking a mirror and having bad luck befall on you is Nas Daily showing up in your country and then something goes to the dogs sooner or later.

Coincidence? Most likely.

Bad luck? If you're a believer.

Pseudo-superstitious serendipitous mumbo jumbo? You bet your last dollar it could be just that as well.

But what is life if we dismissed all random uncorrelated events and not read into things?

Singapore, Malaysia, and now, Hong Kong

Very briefly, this was what has been happening after Nas Daily visited a country in this Asia region recently:

Singapore

On Sept. 17, in episode 890, Nas Daily called Singapore an "almost perfect country".

On Sept. 18, Singapore experienced the worst cross-island blackout.

Malaysia

On Sept. 4, in episode 877, Nas Daily highlighted the plight of a Syrian man stuck in the Kuala Lumpur International Airport for close to six months.

This was after the vlogger Nuseir Yassin could not make it into the country himself because of his Israeli passport, but still sent a camera crew down, nonetheless.

On Oct. 1, the Syrian man was arrested by the Malaysian authorities after his plight brought negative attention to the country.

Hong Kong

On Oct. 1, in episode 904, Nas Daily called Hong Kong's train system the "world's best metro".

On Oct. 16, Hong Kong's Mass Transit Railway (MTR) train services broke down for the first time in the most major way and was disrupted for six hours during peak hour on Tuesday morning.

It was due to a signalling fault. It threw the morning commute for millions into chaos.

Coming back to Singapore

But here's the best part.

FYI: Nas Daily is coming back to Singapore in December 2018.

Oh boy. Take cover.

But if you don't buy any of this cause and effect or correlations, you are right.

Because the jinx is in this substance-less caricature of a narrative.

That's one minute. See you tomorrow.
