On September 30, an image was circulated online of a signs imploring for any information of a man's lost wallet and work permit.
Here it is.
One of the complaints about the post however was that the typo made it slightly hard to read.
The man was of course referring to wallet, but misspelt it as valet.
Well, some kind soul struck valet off, and changed it to wallet.
Which lead to another post sharing the image on October 6, trying to help the man get his wallet and work permit back.
The Facebook user, we'll call her Gaki, gave this as the reason for her sharing the post.
According to her, she spotted the notice near Jurong Point.
As of this article, the post has been shared more than 1,000 times in less than a day.
Things are good
Mothership reached out to the man who lost his wallet for an update on the situation
Unfortunately, he still hasn't found his wallet, or his work permit yet, but good news, it turns out the company took the news quite well.
They promptly helped him apply for a new one, instead of the far worse scenario he feared.
Great job, everyone involved.
The man, who would rather not be named, expressed his gratitude to everyone who tried to help him, especially the person who shared the Facebook post.
