A man who was caught flinging wet cat food in Ang Mo Kio had allegedly punched the person who had filmed him in action.

Alleged victim Joey Tan subsequently wrote a post on October 5, detailing his struggle with the man.

Throwing cat food for the past one year

In his post, Tan claimed that the man had been "flinging away" wet cat food meant for the cats in the area.

He would allegedly throw them along the sheltered walkway of the estate, on the roof of the shelter, and even at car park.

This habit, which has apparently been going on for the past one year, resulted in the community feeders having to clean up his mess, in order to prevent pests and residents from complaining.

The following photo shows the mess that the perpetrator allegedly makes on a regular basis:

Trying to catch the man in action

On October 4, Tan was notified of the alleged perpetrator walking towards his block, which prompted him to set out to stop the latter, or at least take a video of him.

According to Tan, the man was already flinging cat food and water down the stairs when he reached the scene.

Tan then started taking videos of the alleged perpetrator, and even followed him to the next spot.

That was when the man threw the cat food and water at Tan, before punching him in the face.

In a video Tan uploaded, the man, dressed in a yellow singlet and yellow shorts could be seen turning towards Tan the latter told him to "come back".

A struggle ensued, and Tan claimed that the man managed to snatch his phone away:

Tan also wrote that he dislocated his right shoulder as a result of the brawl.

Tried to run away

Nonetheless, Tan continued to follow the man and demanded for his phone back.

The man refused, and allegedly threatened to punch him again.

At this point, Tan's girlfriend had arrived and called the police. A macik (Malay auntie) even called up her family to help Tan out.

Tan wrote that the man eventually returned his phone back to him when he realised that the police was coming, but not without saying, "Stop following me or I will punch you."

In another video (presumably taken by Tan's girlfriend), the man could be seen pushing Tan away after the latter said, "The police is coming, so you better wait for the police to come."

Even though the alleged perpetrator tried to head home, the police managed to apprehend him.

By then, however, Tan was already in an ambulance to Tan Tock Seng Hospital to get his injury treated.

"You're looking for trouble"

In the same post, Tan had also uploaded a video taken by another community feeder, allegedly of the same perpetrator.

The man could be seen in the video picking up a plastic bowl containing water.

He then flung the water out while saying "You think you're feeding cat?" before throwing the bowl back onto the ground.

He then told the person taking the video that she was "looking for trouble".
