2.8 million Singaporeans will be receiving letters from Oct. 2 onwards informing them of the amount of SG Bonus they will receive from the Government.
Why are we getting money?
According to the Ministry of Finance:
"The Government will be giving a one-off SG Bonus to all adult Singaporeans this year. This reflects the Government’s long-standing commitment to share the fruits of the country’s development with Singaporeans."
A total of $700 million will be disbursed to Singaporeans 21 and above as of Dec. 31 2018.
How much will we receive?
Singaporeans will receive between $100 to $300 depending on their annual income.
When will we receive it?
It depends on how you would like to receive payment:
- PayNow - receive by Nov. 30 2018.
- Cheque - receive by Dec. 20 2018
- Direct Bank crediting - receive by Dec. 10 2018

The Ministry of Finance encouraged Singaporeans to register their NRIC with PayNow before Nov. 7 to receive the SG Bonus earlier.
Additionally it noted that Singaporeans who wish to donate the SG Bonus to those who need it more can do so via the SG Bonus website or the SG Cares mobile app.
