Briyani is great, but sometimes restaurants get the meat to rice ratio all wrong.

Enter Pavilion Banana Leaf, a restaurant over at Jurong Point.

Not satisfied with just chunks of lamb, their signature dish features a massive lamb shank on the bone, served on top of a bed of briyani rice.

According to the restaurant's Facebook page, this dish is the same as the one found in Zaffron Kitchen, an award-winning North Indian restaurant.

However, as that restaurant serves alcohol, it does not have halal certification.

Pavilion Banana Leaf does have halal certification, so Muslim customers can eat there too.

However it is a little bit pricey at $21.80.

If you don't like lamb, or want something more affordable, the restaurant also offers Chicken Dum briyani at $11.80:

The restaurant counts local actor Fauzie Laily as one of their fans:
