Concrete jungle Singapore has many places for anyone to do parkour, but the roof of a Housing Board block of flats is probably not one of them.

A police report has been made after a YouTube video was posted on June 23, 2018 that showed some teenagers doing parkour on the roof of the 40-storey HDB block in Clementi.

The video is two-and-a-half minutes long and featured at least three teens. Their faces can be seen.

They can be seen jumping on the water tanks and climbing up ladders, as well as jumping across a gap in the block that would result in a plunge to the ground floor if they missed.

Clementi blocks

Lianhe Wanbao said the stunts were performed at one of the blocks from 312A to 312C in Clementi Avenue 4.

The Holland-Bukit Panjang Town Council told The Straits Times it has filed a police report.

The town council spokesman added that the video appears to have been filmed before residents started moving into the estate in September 2016.

Unlawful parkour

This is not the first time parkour practitioners have gotten into trouble with the law in Singapore.

In 2017, parkour enthusiasts scaled the glass dome roof of Eastpoint Mall in Simei and walked on top of railings on a Pan-Island Expressway flyover.

A police report was also filed against the youths by the East Coast-Fengshan Town Council.

In March this year, a stern warning was subsequently given to a 23-year-old man and a conditional warning to a 24-year-old man, following investigation and in consultation with the Attorney-General's Chambers, ST reported.
