Looks like Singapore will have the pleasure of hosting U.S. President Donald Trump not once but twice in 2018.

On June 11, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced in a statement that Trump has accepted the invitation of Singapore's President Halimah Yacob to return in November 2018.

The State Visit will be in conjunction with the 6th ASEAN-US Summit, and the 13th East Asia Summit.

Trump met with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong at noon on June 11 for a one-on-one "four eye" meeting at the Istana, before holding a working lunch.

The two leaders discussed a "wide range" of global developments, and affirmed the "excellent relations" between Singapore and the United States.

Trump is scheduled to meet with North Korea’s Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un in a historic summit at Sentosa’s Capella hotel on June 12.

The two leaders previously met in Oct. 2017, when Lee visited Washington DC.

On that occasion, Trump called Lee a "highly respected man" and said that the relationship between the two countries "had never been closer."
