Singaporeans going to Johor Bahru, take note.
McDonald's in Malaysia is selling real nasi lemak.
Not nasi lemak burger, but real nasi lemak.
Available already
McDonald's announced on April 30 their new Nasi McD dish is available in Malaysia.
It features rice, hard boiled eggs, lettuce, sambal, and a crispy chicken patty in three different combinations.
The most expensive set costs RM12.95 (S$4.38), which is pretty cheap compared to McDonald's meals in Singapore.
Taste verdict
But how does it taste?
Don't get your hopes up too high.
One Twitter user gave it a three out of 10, saying that it didn't taste like a nasi lemak dish, but more like random ingredients thrown together.
She also said that the rice reminded her of KFC's rice side, and didn't really taste like nasi lemak rice.
However, another Instagram user who tried the dish said it was "not bad", and liked the spicy chicken.
The Nasi McD appears to be available in JB, so you can check it out if you're on a trip across the Causeway.
But you could always have a traditional nasi lemak meal from a hawker centre instead.

Previously in McD
In 2017, it launched the Nasi Lemak Burger in Singapore, a valiant attempt to fuse Eastern and Western cuisines that didn't quite work.
