He flew to Singapore because he was "bored", he wrote.

Interestingly, no one at the hotel appeared to recognise the multi-millionaire retired unbeaten champion.

Southeast Asia tour

Mayweather looks to be on a tour of Asia this time of the year in 2018.

The 41-year-old was in Bali, Indonesia after his short Singapore stopover.

The Philippines connection

Mayweather is the tormentor of Filipino boxing great Manny Pacquiao.

Mayweather retired undefeated in 50 professional fights, including 27 by KOs, when he stopped Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) champion and superstar Conor McGregor in the 10th round of their celebrated, non-title fight in 2017.

In May 2015, Mayweather scored a 12-round unanimous decision against Pacquiao in their welterweight title match at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

That fight went down as the richest fight ever in boxing history.
