It must be nice to live in a country where temperatures of 21 degrees Celsius is considered a "heatwave".

On April 4, popular British culture site Unilad uploaded an article to Facebook titled "Scorching 21C Heatwave To Hit The UK Next Week."

And their caption read:

"STOP WHAT YOU'RE DOING, SUMMER IS ON THE WAY! ???"

So hot meh

While the Brits rejoiced at the first sign of summer, Singaporeans were amused by the contrast.

After all, 21 degrees Celsius is considered a rather cool setting for our air-conditioners.

Local blogger Mr Brown shared the post on April 5:

And Singaporeans were incredulous:

But let's not be so quick to judge.

And you can bet that Brits were laughing at us then. Exhibit A, this tweet from the British High Commissioner to Singapore:

So it's all a matter of perspective.

21 degrees Celsius can be freezing or scorching, depending what the weather is like in your neck of the woods for the rest of the year.

Just take this Saudi Arabian guy's word for it:
