Teen identified

A 15-year-old boy has been identified by the police for his suspected role in a hit-and-run.

An e-scooter rider had allegedly knocked into an elderly woman at Ang Mo Kio on April 17 and rode off subsequently without offering assistance.

The 65-year-old woman was knocked down at the ground floor lift lobby of Blk 538 Ang Mo Kio Ave 5.

The teen was identified through police cameras and on-the-ground investigations, the Singapore Police Force said on Monday evening, April 23.

The teen is assisting the police with investigations.

The police also seized an e-scooter and a helmet as exhibits in the case.
