Chanel transparent plastic bags and hats make everyone a fashionista in the rain

Yep, we used the word "fashionista".

It’s not the first time a high-end brand has designed something that’s kitschy or cheap-looking.

But some items from Chanel’s latest collection really hit the spot this time round, what with the cold rainy weather Singapore has been experiencing lately.

Here’s a look at the items from the Spring/Summer 18 line, which are mostly made from PVC and white grosgrain (a heavy ribbed fabric of silk or rayon):

Word has it that these designs are “inspired by water”, but we hope they will not cause a pool of boot sweat:
