A bunch of secondary school guys produced an epic stop-motion sequence involving a human skateboard

That effort though.

Every now and then, the internet will throw up a gem of a video.

On Dec. 28, Twitter user @sulaiman_masdi uploaded an epic stop-motion video. Since then, it has garnered over 15k views.

It was an amateur stop-motion sequence that he and his friends did back in secondary school.

Given that he has graduated several years back, the video entails old and rather low-quality footage. However, the effort and creativity that went into it is nothing short of amazing.

"Human transportation"

The video, called "Human transportation," has a fairly interesting yet simple premise.

The video is about a bunch of Hong Kah Secondary School students who travel all over their school using various transportation methods.

For instance, the video showed one boy flying around with a broomstick:

And another using his friends as a trolley(?):

If you think that these are awesome, there's more.

True to the video's title, the highlight of the entire video is this boy using his friend as a human skateboard:

This sequence is so entertaining to watch because of the various tricks he does with his human skateboard.

One entailed sliding down the railing and then hopping onto the skateboard as he reached the bottom of the stairs:

Another involved some spins and jumps with the skateboard.

Labourious process

Our gifs/screenshots obviously do not do the video justice.

To create a stop-motion video, images are labouriously pieced together frame by frame, and played at a fast speed in order to create the illusion of movement.

Making such a video definitely requires creativity to plan the shots, and a whole lot of patience to string it all together for a 1 minute 55 seconds video.

What makes it even more epic is that it was made by a bunch of secondary school kids with a camera and some spare time.

You really have to watch it to appreciate the full extent of the effort that went into it, so here is the full tweet and video:

Judging by the fun they had in school, it is no wonder why he misses his secondary school days.
