Bursting public water utilities seems to be quite a common phenomenon, and it's not just Singapore that's facing these problems.

A video uploaded on Oct. 5 by a Chinese netizen showed a similar case in China of a bursting roadside fire hydrant that has caused high-pressure water leaks. It has since gone viral on Weibo, China's microblogging platform, with over 7 million views.

The exact location and the timing of the incident is unknown.

"Free" car wash

For some who expect that the highlight of the video would be the water gushing out from the fire hydrant, well, there are other takeaways from it.

In the short 14 secs video recording, five cars were seen making a deliberate turn into the path of the "fountain" caused by the burst fire hydrant.
