She's alive and singing.

Local Mandopop singing sensation Stefanie Sun is alive, well, and set to take the stage in a concert today (Oct. 7) at the Singapore Botanic Gardens.

Fake news of Sun's death

Just a few days ago, an online website known as States News anyhowly claimed that Sun had died after a large stage prop had fallen on her during her concert at New York City

This, fortunately, has since been debunked as fake news.

Sun alive and well

In response to the circulating rumours, Sun tweeted this:

On the same day, she also uploaded a video to Facebook wishing her fans happy Mid-Autumn Festival:

Free concert at Singapore Botanic Gardens

And if anyone still needs further assurance that Sun is alive and singing, she will be performing in a concert at the Singapore Botanic Gardens on Oct. 7.

The event, called "Voice Out", celebrates the upcoming World Mental Health Day on Oct. 10, and serves to raise awareness on mental health issues.

Sun will be the headline act for this event.

She hopes to fight stigma associated with mental illness, something that she feels deeply about. In an interview, she once shared her own personal experience with depression:

"Mental issues can occur in different stages [in life]. I remember feeling very isolated and overwhelmed when I couldn’t cope with my work. I definitely think I had a period of depression so I feel that it is very important to be able to talk about it freely. [Mental issues] are very prevalent in today’s modern society. "

So, it seems that this concert kills two birds with one stone for Sun. She gets to prove to people that she's not dead, and at the same time raise awareness for a cause she's passionate about.

But you know what's the most awesome thing of all, admission to the concert is FREE.

Don't say we bojio.
