A Singaporean man is earning the ire of locals in Bangkok.

This after a local Thai put up a Facebook post accusing the Singaporean of not properly caring for cafe animals under his charge:

The Oct. 29, 2017 post has since been shared more than 2,000 times in two days.

Who is the Singaporean allegedly involved?

According to the post, the animal cafe in Bangkok is called Kitties & Bears.

It features up to eight different types of animals that include, cats, dogs, guinea pigs, meerkats, raccoons, ferrets, hedgehogs and rabbits.

It is supposedly started by a Singaporean man who previously opened a cat cafe in Singapore, but was eventually ordered to shut it down by the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority (AVA).

Such incidents are rare or non-existent in Singapore, with the most high-profile case surfacing in 2014.

The person involved is a 33-year-old man who was subsequently sentenced to two weeks' jail and fined S$3,500 for failing to comply with licensing conditions, giving false information to a public servant and attempting to cheat.

The Singapore authorities were alerted to allegations of mismanagement of diseased cats at the Singapore pet cafe in October 2014.

It was also alleged that the cafe owner had provided falsified cat health records in his application for AVA's temporary licence to keep animals for public interaction on the premises.

What happened in latest incident?

According to the post, seven to eight dogs have died of different illnesses in Kitties & Bears pet cafe within one month.

The Singaporean man was reportedly hesitant to bring the sick animals to the vet, despite being told by specialists and staff that they are in critical need of medical care.

He also had been warned to keep the sick pets separate from the other healthy ones as the diseases are contagious, but failed to do so.

Another incident involved a cat giving birth to a litter of kittens and one of them subsequently died due to the owner letting the customers play with the animals at a very early age.

Another cat gave birth to her second litter and the kittens were born with sicknesses and have a low chance of surviving, due to the mother being sick at the time of pregnancy.

We have contacted the Singaporean involved in the previous cat cafe case for comment and will update this post when we hear back.

In case you can't see it. here's the English in text:

When this man had a pet café in Singapore, 8 of the cats that lived there died because of FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis) Therefore, his café got shut down by the AVA and was sentenced to 2 weeks in prison. He later fled the country with a loan and flew to Thailand with the remaining cats from his previous café and opened another café in Bangkok called Kitties & Bears Café.

The owner of this pet café has no responsibility for the lives and well being of any of the animals he owns!

What happened was: this man opened a pet café in Bangkok where no less than 7 - 8 dogs have died within 1 month due to different illnesses and intestine infections which already gives the pets a low chance of survival. Yet, this owner hesitates on taking them to the vets to have them properly checked up and treated. Despite having been told many times before by a number of staff and specialists that the pets are really sick and are in critical need of medical care. He has also been warned to keep the sick pets separate from the other pets as these diseases are contagious but he still doesn’t listen - leading other animals to get sick too. Another incident was when a mother cat gave birth to a litter of kittens and one of them had died because the owner let the customers play with them at a very early age. Due to the hostile owner not caring for the wellbeing of another mother cat who was sick at the time of her pregnancy, her second litter of kittens were born with sicknesses and have a low chance of surviving.

I am posting this as I feel very sorry for how the poor animals are being treated there and demand to see a change. I am not falsely accusing the owner and I have proof for every accusations I have made above. If anyone is interested to hear more about this - please feel free to message me.
