Geyser spotted in Jurong West becomes 3rd water feature to spontaneously appear in Western S'pore

Just another day in Singapore's wild, wild West.

After a couple of pipes burst in Bukit Batok two weeks ago, turning the neighbourhood into a temporary water park, a residential estate further west decided it was not to be outdone.

On Tuesday (Oct. 10), a resident, who wanted to be known as Ms Kaur, said she saw what appears to be a high-pressure water leak at Blk 715, Jurong West Street 71 at about 11am. You can see a video she shared with us below:

While not as violent as the Bukit Batok gusher, this geyser in Jurong West appears to be at least as high as the lamp-post next to it, or about two storeys high.

We understand from Kaur that it had since been attended to, and had subsided by about 1:50pm.

Possibly related: Earlier this morning, the PUB issued a warning about heavy rain over many areas of Singapore.

If you ever happen to be lucky enough to come across one, please call the PUB's toll-free hotline to report it at 1800-2255-782.

PUB confirmed in a statement to Mothership that this water leak was not caused by a burst pipe. We have also approached the Chua Chu Kang Town Council for more details on what caused it.
