If you're only a few months away from the end of your contract and looking for a new telco, or just want to give Circles.Life a try for the heck of it, you're in luck.

Just like premium services such as Spotify and Netflix, the fourth telco in Singapore just rolled out Circles Switch, a free trial plan where existing customers of other telcos get a free SIM-only mobile line that comes with a temporary number.

The plan includes Circle.Life's signature 20GB worth of data, 100 minutes of talk time and 20 SMSes every month.

The catch?

Not much, really. Just make sure you cancel the plan before Dec. 31, 2017, if you don't wish to port over to Circles.Life.

If not, effective Jan. 2018, the trial plans will be automatically switched to the base plan consisting of S$28 for 4GB of data, 100 minutes talk time and free caller ID.

Data wars

This trial plan comes after the different telcos announced their improved data-related plans.

M1 offered its latest data-bundled, SIM-only plan, while Singtel unveiled their unlimited data add-ons, and Starhub announced a postpaid plan where customers get free data on weekends.

In a media interview, co-founder and director Rameez Ansar said: “We want people to feel the power of a Circles.Life no-contract plan over so-called ‘subsidised’ 24-month contract plans. We are doing this because we are confident they will switch to a full Circles.Life plan.”

So... are you convinced?
