A 54-year-old man has died after falling from a height outside Liang Court in Clarke Quay on Wednesday night.

A contributing reader who wanted to be known as Mark told Mothership he witnessed the incident when it happened, saying it took place at about 9pm.

He was seated nearby and eating a burger when he "saw something drop" to the ground in front of him, with a very loud sound.

"I thought it was a car tyre that exploded (at first). Then I saw the body."

Mark said he did not see any blood on the street as the man "probably fell on his stomach". However, he tells us he overheard police saying that the man suffered multiple leg fractures.

He added that he later observed paramedics who arrived on the scene administering CPR on the man while he was lying in the street. He also saw them transport the man into the ambulance, where they continued their attempts to revive him.
