Very little doubt Chong-Aruldoss wasn't lying in her account of what happened.

A video has surfaced of the physical assault lawyer Jeannette Chong-Aruldoss alleged she suffered at the hands of ex-lawyer and activist M Ravi.

Uploaded by The Online Citizen to its Facebook page on Wednesday evening, the 37-second clip shows M Ravi and Chong-Aruldoss facing each other in a hallway -- matching her description.

Charged atmosphere

It's not immediately clear what M Ravi is saying in the video, although it appears to be about some fees paid by a client to "partners", possibly of a law firm.

He concludes, curiously, with "And you can't deny it if you go to church, 'cause there are no gods here, right?"

M Ravi uses force

There is an awkward silence, where Chong-Aruldoss keeps quiet, smiles, and moves to walk past him and away. But Ravi moves to stop her and says, "Listen, listen  — 50 per cent commission — listen, listen..."

Chong-Aruldoss loses patience and exclaims, "Get out of my way!" while lifting her hand as if to swipe him aside so she can walk past, but at the same time, Ravi lunges at her shouting "Don't push me!":

You can see the shock in her face when she realises what is happening:

Pushing accusation

Roughly a second later, we hear a scream, and then see Chong-Aruldoss sprawled on the floor, with Ravi leaning over her and shouting,

"Get out of my way... don't push me! Don't push me! Don't push me, okay? Don't push me!

How can... how dare you push me? How dare she push me?"

He asks the last question turning back to the camera before it pans down and faces the floor.

The video recording ends there, repeating the moment where he lunges at her in slow motion.

M Ravi, according to TOC, is currently remanded at the Institute of Mental Health, and faces charges of voluntarily causing hurt to Chong-Aruldoss.

He is reported to be a longtime sufferer of bipolar disorder.
