We take for granted how everything in Singapore seems to just … work.

We don’t think much when water flows freely from our taps despite Singapore having very limited fresh water sources. Yet Singapore has its fair share of unique problems.

Ever wonder how our past problems have been solved or how we are meeting future challenges?

The one-north Festival, organised by Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) and JTC, will bring you face to face with scientists, researchers, innovators and entrepreneurs who are the ones helping solve Singapore’s problems.

The festival will feature talks by the problem-solvers on Aug 18 - 19 and the talks are free to attend. Here are our top picks (and we’ve got something for everyone!):
