Rider & pillion unconscious in ICU after SLE crash

Both men suffered multiple fractures.

Two security officers going home across the Causeway were involved in a horrific crash.

Danny Raj Muniappan, 24, and Trivikram R L, 21, both work for Certis Cisco, according to The Straits Times.

They were on their way to Woodlands Checkpoint when their motorcycle crashed into the back of a stalled car on the Seletar Expressway (SLE) before the Lentor Avenue exit on July 24 at around 10.30am.

Muniappan was the rider and Trivikram was pillion.

The motorcyclist slammed into the back of the car that had hazard lights on. The pillion rider somersaulted into the air and landed several metres away.

Both were taken to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital with severe injuries.

The rider has a ruptured bladder, fractured pelvic bone and lost a lot of blood. He also broke his left arm and left leg, and has been unconscious since the accident.

The pillion rider suffered a fractured pelvic bone and a broken leg and has been in and out of consciousness. He has not been able to speak.

Both are still warded in the intensive care unit.

Certis Cisco said it will extend help to the men and their families.

Police investigations are ongoing.
