The latest must-eat making its rounds (quite literally) on Facebook is a juicy display of roast ducks spinning in a tempered glass oven, going at just S$15 for a whole bird.

In case you can't see it, here's the video and photos:

The ducks are by The Duck Master, a hawker stall found on the ground floor of People's Park Complex.

The owners use fresh ducks that are imported from Malaysia daily, and roast them on the spot (as opposed to preparing them in the morning) to ensure that no ducks will be left high and dry.

Additionally, the ducks are only sold whole to keep them tender and moist, as chopping it immediately after the roasting process will result in juices escaping. This also saves on manpower costs, which means cheaper ducks for us. Yay.

However, in the event that you're eating it on the spot, you can request for your duck to be chopped, although this may require some waiting time. This is especially so during peak hours (3pm - 7pm), where queues can stretch for as long as two hours. But yeah, you have to buy the whole duck; you can't buy half or a single serving portion (go the whole hog!).

Here's how to get there:

Address: People’s Park Complex, 1 Park Road #01-K99, Singapore 059108

When it's open:

  • Mon - Thurs, 11am – 8pm
  • Fri, 11am – 9pm
  • Sat, 10am – 9pm
  • Sun, 10am – 8pm
