Most of us are familiar with the uphill task of staying awake in a boring afternoon at work lesson.

With the right combination of heavy lunch food and monotonous teacher's voice, it's downright impossible.

Which is why South Korean director Seoro Oh's short film titled "Afternoon Class" hits us right in the feels — we've all been there before.

We are introduced to a protagonist — a student alone in his heavy-headed quest to stay awake in class. Alas, every fibre of his being is determined to ship his defiant body into Dreamland.

Remember when your groggy head felt like a bowling ball? Yup, we do.

The struggle is real.

Our guy's world soon melds into a palette of colours and grunts. Kudos to him for his valiant attempts to deny himself.

We particularly appreciated a scene involving a wildly swinging hammer, which we're sure will resonate with you sleepyheads.

But as all of us know, resistance is ultimately futile. Our protagonist soon finds himself transported into al alternate reality where he resumes his mission to wake himself and every other person.

We won't spoil the ending of the video for you, so check out his clip below:

Seoro's remarkable ability to tease out the nuances of his own experiences and present it in a warm, intimate way is matched by the clip's beautiful and intelligent colour palette.  We hope it brings you a smile on this sleepy afternoon.
