Singapore is the number one country in the world for its density of greenery compared to other major cities globally.
This is according to Treepedia, a site with interactive maps that show the density of greenery created by MIT's Senseable Lab with the World Economic Forum (WEF).
Singapore's "Green View Index" is 29.3 percent, a rating derived from information from Google Street View to determine percentage of canopy coverage based on aerial images.
Treepedia was launched in 2016, and featured 10 cities, but the team has since added 13 more to its list.
So, that means that Singapore is one of the 23 cities featured.
By 2030, Singapore hopes to expand its green spaces. The goal is for 85 percent of its residents to live within 400 meters from a park, according to a 2013 Land Use Plan.
