5 places in Singapore to celebrate St Patrick’s Day if you’re too broke for Ireland

No need to bring your own beer.

There are many ways to celebrate St. Patrick’s day in Ireland. You could, for instance, join in on one of these roving parades:

Or you could take it another level (literally) and stay at the Guinness storehouse (by participating in this Airbnb contest), and get a tour of the place while you’re at it. The best part? How about spending a night with a 360-degree view of the Dublin city?

Also a million-dollar view.

Imagine waking up to this.

Not sure how someone can concentrate on the game with a view like this.

This will make the perfect man cave.

But in the likely case that you can’t just drop everything to visit Ireland this St Pat’s (because #adulting), Guinness brings you a plethora of fabulous deals to drink up and wind down with.

Here are five of our favourites:

1. Timbre @ Arthouse

Date: March 15 – 18

We love our duck, and not just in a pond in Ireland. Get 3 pints of Guinness Draught at $40++ to go along with their famous duck pizza and net a limited edition Guinness St Pat’s Tee.

And since we’re at Timbre, there’s also live music by resident bands every night.

Address: #01-04 The Arts House, 1 Old Parliament Lane, Singapore 179429

2. Symmetry

Date: March 17

This Friday, Symmetry has something better than truffle fries for you: for $50 nett (early bird price before Mar. 17), you can eat all you want from their a la carte buffet menu. Passes purchased on the day itself will cost $60 nett (still a pretty good deal, we think).

Don’t worry, they didn’t forget about the booze: from 6pm onwards, enjoy 1-for-1 Guinness Draught to go along with your meal.

Plus: dress in green and get a gift from the house!

Address: 9 Jalan Kubor #01-01, Singapore 199206

3. Fabrika

Date: Month long

Want a view with your beer? Visit Fabrika – a rooftop bar overlooking the Singapore’s CBD area – and get 3 pints of Guinness Draught at $22++ while you contemplate burning down your office.

Address: 17/F Klapsons, The Boutique Hotel 15 Hoe Chiang Rd, Singapore 089316

4. KPO Cafe Bar

Date: March 17

Party/drink (technicalities, really) the night away at KPO with Happy Hour pricing from 6pm till closing. To get you in the groove, there will also be a guest DJ from 9pm.

Address: 1 Killiney Rd, Singapore 239518

5. OBAR @ Punggol / OBAR @ Trade Hub

Date: Every Sunday to Thursday for the month

If you just wanna hang in your hood (or go somewhere that’s not in town), check out OBAR at Punggol/Trade Hub. Although with two pints of Guinness Draught going for just $20 nett, you might have some trouble getting home even if you live nearby.

For those going to the Punggol branch, wash it down with live music by local bands from 8pm onwards.

OBAR @ Punggol: ID Marina Country Club, 600 Punggol Seventeenth Avenue, Singapore 829734

OBAR @ Trade Hub: 8 Boon Lay Way, #01-32 TradeHub 21, Singapore 609964

To round it off, join in the St Pat’s festivities and parade with Guinness from Mar. 17 – 19 along Circular road this year. Be there or be square!
