Pentel S’pore’s Facebook post asks “Is your eraser look like this”, Internet doesn’t give chance
To is or not to is, that are the question.
Pentel is known for its wide range of stationery.
By all means, they are the antithesis of what the Internet, a paperless product, is about.
But on Feb. 18, the stationery company somehow found its way into Internet infamy.
The times, they “is” changing.
The day started off quaintly enough for Pentel, they posted a generic brand building Facebook post.
But something was a bit off that day.
See, their previous 30 posts during 2017 had racked up a grand total of 0 shares.
This one currently has 127 shares and counting.
Here is the post.
In case you can’t view it, this is their caption.
The Internet “are” merciless
The Internet decided to take them to task.
Some were upfront with their mockery.
Others took it way too seriously.
And one saw it as a perfect cross promotional opportunity for Popular.
Perhaps it was all this negativity that prompted Pentel to post this on their Instagram a day later.
Can I “has” solutions?
Lost among the torrent of “Is you” jokes, was this little gem.
We’ve all made grammar mistakes, but it’s important to correct these small errors.
So, for Pentel, this is how you do it.
Click the little upside down arrow on the top right corner of your post.
Then press “edit post”.
Then, correct any, and all, grammar snafus.
Think of it like an online eraser.
