Barely available for a week in Singapore, the Pokemon Go craze has taken over the island. And capitalising on this craze is Funzing Singapore, an online "community marketplace for unique experiences."

Think of it as Ebay/ Carousell, but instead of products, people list events such as yoga classes, tea appreciation or tours for others to "purchase".

And what has this got to do with Pokemon Go? Funzing Singapore, in a media release, claims it is offering the world's first job where you are paid to play Pokemon Go.

This was what they said on Facebook:

We're looking for an enthusiastic Pokemon Master for the FIRST EVER Pokemon Job in the world. If you're a Pokemon fanatic, and you're always out on an adventure catching them all, WE WANT YOU!

If this describes you or perhaps a friend you know who would be suitable for this job scope, drop us a message! Selected Candidates will get recruited and get PAID to play Pokemon go!

While perhaps hordes of Singaporeans currently fit the job scope of being "enthusiastic" Pokemon masters, the post does not really describe what the candidate has to do exactly.

In the media release, however, Funzing Singapore said that it is looking for an individual to create Pokemon Go events in Singapore.

We are going to guess somewhere along the lines of "Pokemon Go Speed Dating", "RC celebration cum Pokemon Go hunt" or "Pass your IPPT while playing Pokemon Go" events.

Pokemon Go economy

As millions around the world have downloaded the free game to play, others have used the app to their own monetary advantage. There are reports coming out of the United Kingdom that drivers are being paid to drive Pokemon hunters around, while others get paid up to £40 an hour to help people catch Pokemon. In another article, it was reported that Pokemon Go accounts are being sold for thousands of pounds.

One Danish company, in an attempt to attract young employees, will be paying part of its salary in Pokemon Go currency.
