Opposition parties react to news of Finance Minister Heng Swee Keat’s stroke

Get well wishes from Workers' Party, Singapore Democratic Party, Reform Party, and People's Power Party.

Several opposition parties have taken to social media to wish Finance Minister Heng Swee Keat a speedy recovery.

This is after the Prime Minister's Office informed the media that Heng collapsed during a Cabinet meeting this afternoon at 5.34 pm.

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said on his Facebook post that Heng is now being attended by doctors at the Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

WP also responded to inappropriate comments on its Facebook reacting to Heng's stroke.

RP noted that its Sec-Gen, Kenneth Jeyaretnam, knows Heng personally from their university days in Cambridge. Jeyaretnam had invited Heng to several dinners in college during their student days.
