Now, here's a teacher in Singapore who is doing it right.
Ms Lim -- a teacher presumably from Singapore -- took some time out to write an encouraging note to one of her students -- presumably from primary school -- as seen on the image above taken from imgur shared by visakanv.
This is in place of the usual foreboding "See me" remark that teachers would write at the end of homework worksheets and assignments, which usually means you're going to get a earful.
This was what she wrote in her little note of encouragement:
I can do it! As long as I try my best, I will make small improvements! One day, I'd be great!
I'm so bad
I can't try
I'm bad at everything
No, you're not! I've seen you do well, I've seen you work faster than your friends when you try. You just need to fight the bad voice in your head!
Now you can choose to listen to the "BAD" voice and be sad, or listen to your GOOD voice and be better!
Not before ending the note with a pair of lions sticker: "Let's help you to try, together, okay? 😀"
