The National Solidarity Party (NSP) uploaded a video today (7 September) titled "ilegal distribution of PAP election material" with the caption "Foreigner Caught Distributing PAP Election Material in Tampines!"
The video shows a Bangladeshi worker holding a stack of materials being questioned by the person shooting the video and another individual wearing an orange polo shirt with an NSP badge on his colour. The video-shooter asked for the worker's permit repeatedly while holding on to the worker's identification document.
When the worker could not answer the question on the permit or who his boss was, the video-shooter said he would call the police.
The video was uploaded on NSP's Facebook page alleging that the worker was distributing election material.
Under the Parliamentary Elections Act, it is illegal for non-Singaporeans to conduct election activities.
After the video was uploaded, several people on Facebook commented that the worker was distributing town council newsletters:

They point out that the photograph in the newsletter includes candidates for Tampines GRC Desmond Choo and Cheng Li Hui. One Facebook user pointed out that the photograph was taken during the National Day period:
